One-electron atomic orbital wavefunctions
Below are several selected hydrogen atom electronic wavefunctions
and probability densities graphed as functions of r and theta
(but normalized for all three dimensions).
Each page contains a 3D plot of the amplitude of the function at
a slice removed along the xz plane.
The vertical axis is the numerical value in units of
a0-3/2 for the wavefunctions and
a0-3 for the probabilty densities.
The horizontal axes are in units of a0.
These images are between 30kB and 40kB.
At the bottom of each page is a crude parametric plot of the angular
probability density, to get some sense of the phi-dependence as well.
These images are currently very large (up to 70kB) and very rough.
These images were created using Mathematica 2.2 from Wolfram Research.
